I was quickly promoted from a junior software engineer to senior architect, managing projects of 30 engineers and eventually led a research lab of 4 staffs for NASDAQ listed Document Sciences. Around 2006, I found technology alone no longer excited me. I cared more about the transformative power of internet. I co-founded haokanbu.com at end of 2006 and as CTO grew the technology team to 6. The core technologies were Python / Django, and during this time we tackled many of the challenges you experience in a fast growing startup. Haokanbu.com is still the biggest photo blogging site in China.
