Rochelle Alder

Chief cook and bottle washer, Rochelle Alder is the digital graphic designer and Managing Director of Devol. Rochelle started building websites in 2006. She has also been in the winning teams for 3 successive Startup Weekends and will tell you the secrets of her success.

Since then she has been creating websites for small to medium sized businesses, and producing stunning artwork for clients with tight turn around times, branding businesses and plannning email marketing campaigns. Her range of skills include but aren't limited to graphic design for print and web, themeing and templating websites, content creation and client consultation.

Nick is director of Synario Limited, a Dunedin-based company which integrates design services, strategies, education and training for SMEs who are seeking to develop new products and services.

He is also a director of Bodystance - a company dedicated to developing innovative products to augment the treatment of commonly occurring musculoskeletal problems. The company has recently launched the Backpod www.bodystance.co.nz/backpod.php

Nick leads the cross disciplinary design undergraduate program and the postgraduate user centred strategic design course within Applied Sciences at the University of Otago and is The Director of The Master of Design Enterprise programme at the School of Design, Otago Polytechnic

I am a creative structures, big ideas, thinking kind of person. I have received more academic training and discipline than one man really needs from two universities and the NZ Army Officer School.

My day to day includes leadership of a team of nine, made up of creatives, programmers and client advisers. In addition to management of a web technology and design company where I also act as a senior web consultant, creative director, branding consultant and senior account manager.

Nicolás Erdödy

Nicolás Erdödy is an addicted serial entrepreneur and former maths lecturer who founded and implemented 15 knowledge-intensive start ups in different countries and industries -from high-tech ventures to the 1st online academy in LatinAmerica (yes, a 1999 “dot com”). He spent decades establishing and leading highly specialised teams, and designing, integrating and managing systems for new ventures - creating them from scratch. Nicolás is also Director of Erdödy Consultancy Ltd, a professional services firm that specialises in New Venture Creation, Global Strategies, Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship
Following the vision that New Zealand should become a global hub in entrepreneurship based in multicore technologies, Nicolás has been organising a yearly friends gathering (aka Multicore World -a global conference in multicore and parallel computing) since 2010, when he founded Open Parallel.
Previously he founded and was CEO of World45, the first multicore software company established in New Zealand. Prior to that, Nicolás established dGV, a boutique venture capital firm specialised in early stage high tech ventures with strong IP position. Andrew started his career in NZ working on national rebranding campaigns. Following this he worked in Malaysia developing new production techniques and sporting goods that lead him to Melbourne, and a lead role at Viscount plastics looking after new product development. It was at Viscount that Andrew increased his manufacturing and materials capabilities allowing a move into consultancy. Working at Bayly design Australia, specifically working in medical product developments Acrux and electronics products Motorola. During this time he developing his user centred design skills, realising education and training was a passion. In the past 7 years he has been working at Otago University, Otago Polytechnic as well with NZ industry's focusing on sustainability.
